This project is adapted from a presentation I attended at the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) Conference in Baton Rouge, July 2007.
Steps:
1. Groups of students are given a set of pictures in class. They compile the photos in any order they wish, and create a story around the pictures.The students verbally share their stories with the whole class. The sample pictures used in step 1:
2.Afer completing step 1 informally, groups of students use cameras to compile a series of digital photographs. They then create a power point to present the pictures. They write the story they create about the pictures in "book form" and turn it it. They tell the story verbally in class, using the power point as a visual aide.
Student groups can collaborate on uploading photos, writing and editing the story ,and creating (and uploading) the picture powerpoint via use of
the French Sandbox.
